1. Workplace
It is best to have a dedicated studio to keep the colorists focused, have ventilation equipment, remove solvents, and set up lighting similar to sunlight before noon. There should be various basic inks and standard samples in the color mixing room. Maintain a certain temperature, there should be large windows.
2. Illumination
The color adjusted under a certain light will change under natural light or other light conditions. Therefore, this factor must be considered when grading, and the following light sources are usually used.
â‘ Natural light
The north window light is the best when the weather is fine. The sunlight cannot be directly in, but the effect is not good in the evening.
â‘¡Standard light source
Compare colors in a box-shaped standard light source device, not affected by the surrounding environment.
â‘¢Fluorescent lamp
Use fluorescent lamps, especially special fluorescent lamps with comparative colors. In order to prevent them from being affected by surrounding colors and other light, the walls or surrounding facilities are painted gray or special light blocking plates are provided.
3. Toning tools
The following tools must be prepared when grading:
