1. Wax-based carbon ribbons (WAXRIBBON) usually contain a high percentage of wax-based raw materials, which determine the melting point of the carbon ribbon. The melting point affects the energy level required for printing. Generally speaking, since the melting point of the wax is much lower than that of the resin, Wax-based ribbon printing requires much lower levels of energy than mixed and resin based printing. Since most waxes are softer than resins, the durable wax ribbons of printed graphics are not as good as mixed and resin based, and most wax-based ribbons have only one coating.

In the thermal transfer printing mode, the ribbon and the label paper are consumed synchronously in the longitudinal direction. In the width direction, the width of the ribbon should be greater than or equal to the width of the label paper, which is smaller than the maximum printing width of the printer. Due to the physical size of each printer, the maximum roll length that can be loaded and the maximum width that can be printed are also different. 2) Different print media

If the label is used in a scratch-resistant, smudge-resistant, corrosion-resistant, high-temperature environment, a resin ribbon or a hybrid ribbon should be selected.
6) At what speed is printed

Third, common carbon belt quality problems
1, the ribbon wrinkles
1) The ribbon is not properly wrapped around the machine
2) The temperature setting is incorrect
3) The pressure and balance settings of the print head are incorrect.
4) The media does not set the paper feed amount correctly.

Solution:
1) Reinstall the media correctly
2) Adjust the printing temperature to meet the printing requirements as much as possible

2, carbon with needle eye (bubble): due to the ink is not coated. Will cause the word to be incomplete when printing.
3. The tolerance of the inner diameter of the paper core is too large or too small: it does not fit into the printer or the ribbon does not get up.
4. The temperature is too high during transportation, which will cause the ribbon to stick together.
5, the paper core has no running edge: it will cause the broken belt, the edge will not print.
6. When the ribbon is processed, the winding is too tight or too loose, so that the ribbon cannot be used with the printer when it is running.

Fourth, common ribbon printing problems
1, the printing effect is blurred
Blur printing is the most common problem, the main reasons are:
1) The printer temperature setting does not match the ribbon. Generally, the wax-based ribbon requires a lower printing temperature and the resin ribbon and the mixed ribbon require a higher printing temperature. If the printer's print temperature is mismatched when using a ribbon with a different substrate, the toner on the ribbon may not be properly transferred to the substrate being printed, resulting in blurred printing.
2) The print head is damaged. If the print head is damaged, the blurring of the print should be fixed and the vertical direction should be the same. In this case, you can replace the print head and try it out. If you replace the print head, the fault should be the cause of the print head.
3) The quality of the ribbon itself, if there is printing blur, and if another printing condition of the same type of ribbon is replaced without changing the other printing conditions, the fault can be eliminated, which is usually caused by the unstable quality of the ribbon itself. .
4) In addition to the above reasons, printing blur may also be a problem with the substrate being printed. I have encountered problems with partial printing on ADB PET. At that time, it was found that every ten or twenty sheets had problems with unclear printing, and there was no regularity. It was later discovered that there was a print blur on the surface of the substrate being printed (which may be oil or sweat on the hands of workers during processing).

2, print white spots
There are several reasons why you can print white dots:
1) The printing environment is too dusty, causing white spots to be printed. Due to the dust, some fine dust falls into the printer, which causes the print head to not transfer the toner to the printed substrate to form a white spot. So the printing environment plays a key role in print quality.
2) The printed substrate is too dirty, and the printed substrate is too dirty and may cause white spots to be printed.
3) There is a lot of dust in the ribbon, which causes white spots to be printed due to dust falling during the processing of the ribbon.
4) The core of the ribbon rubs against the reel of the printer to cause dust. Since most of the ribbons are made of paper core tubes, if the core is rubbed against the reel of the printer, the dust is easily caused to print white spots. If the dust particles are large, it is possible to scratch the print head.
