Anqing Petrochemical Branch of Sinopec Corp. used the technology of the catalytic cracking unit to upgrade the existing heavy oil catalytic cracking unit using the MIP-producing isoparaffin technology developed by the Research Institute of Petroleum Processing. The two devices adopt a coaxial structure, and the regenerator adopts a turbulent bedsheet segment countercurrent regeneration process. The scale of the device is still 1.2 Mt/a, and the blended 30% vacuum residue and 15% coking wax are designed.
It is reported that the catalytic cracking--MIP device has been successfully launched at the beginning of the year with a total investment of 120 million yuan. After the joint efforts of the research team members, the device production is stable, the operation is in good condition, and the expected effect of the MIP transformation is basically achieved. Catalytic cracking gasoline olefins content from the original more than 52% (v) down to the current 35% (v) or so, sulfur content from the original 1200μg/g dropped to the current 800μg/g or so, octane PON rose from 90 to 92, MON rose from 79 to 80, the induction period rose from 300-400min to 1200min.
