[Que'er Mountain is located in the northern section of the Sharuli Mountains in the southeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in Dege County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The Tibetan language is called “Cotton Ozark”, meaning “the mountain where the eagle cannot fly”. Its main peak is 6,168 meters and is located at 99.1 degrees east longitude and 31.8 degrees north latitude. It is located in the south section of Queer Mountain. The main mountain is tall, complex in terrain, and full of glaciers. There are two large glaciers lying on the north slope of the mountain and the valley on the southeast slope. The third tongue of the glaciers stretches to an altitude of 4,500 meters. The ice cracks are dense and it is difficult to climb. On September 24th and 25th, 1988, 10 people from China University of Geosciences and Kobe University jointly climbed to the top of the North Slope in two batches. 】
