1, waterproof steam penetration
Military products such as gunpowder, explosives, primers, and other sensitive materials and ammunition formed from them are susceptible to moisture deterioration; electronic instruments and core boards, precision firearms, instrumentation, etc. are subject to moisture and rust or mold erosion. The national military standard GJB2605-96 stipulates that the steam permeability of military packaging materials <3 g/m3·30D can meet the long-term (more than 20 years) storage performance requirements of military products.
2, anti-static hazard
The high integration of electronic components in military products, such as targeting, guidance, surveillance, early warning, command and control systems, weapons and equipment, as well as flammable and explosive materials such as fuzes, pyrotechnics, and ammunition. In the process of production, storage, transportation, and use, static electricity accumulates and discharges due to friction, impact, contact, and separation. As a result, the weapon system loses combat effectiveness or even burns and explodes, causing incalculable damage. According to the GJB2605-96 requirements, the surface resistivity of military packaging materials is ≤10 9th power Ω/□, the external surface resistivity is less than 10 Ω/□, the static decay time is <2S, and the static shielding is less than 30V. Prevent the damage caused by static electricity accumulation.
3, anti-electromagnetic interference
With the use of electronic countermeasures in modern warfare, the electromagnetic environment on the battlefield is deteriorating. The Gulf War and the Kosovo War show that the electronic warfare has broken through the scope of communications, radar and other types of self-defense for interference, and has developed into confrontations such as command, accusation, optoelectronics, and computers. When the electromagnetic wave penetrates the sensitive device of the weapon system, the harm is very like an electrostatic discharge, which causes the weaponry to lose its fighting power instantaneously. The use of electronic countermeasure technology has promoted the development and use of electromagnetic interference shielding packages. The national military standard GJB2605-96 specifies: Electromagnetic interference attenuation> 25dB. Anti-electromagnetic interference packaging materials effectively attenuate and shield electromagnetic waves.
4, antibacterial erosion
There are many kinds of fungi, and they must be controlled according to the different growth requirements of different strains on the environment temperature, humidity, nutrients, etc. Such as moisture through the maintenance of the relative humidity within the package is less than 65% to inhibit the production of mold; inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria by oxygenated sealed packaging; use vacuum, inert gas, special treatment and other packaging methods to vote for other bacteria "evil" , inhibit its growth.
5, prevent mechanical damage
Military packaging materials must have sufficient mechanical strength to ensure that military products are squeezed, rubbed, bumped, shaken, and dropped without damage during stacking, handling, transportation, and storage. Therefore, during the design process of military packaging, according to the special requirements of military products, an optimal combination of multi-layer materials with good mechanical strength is selected to enhance the mechanical physical properties of packaging materials such as breaking force, right-angled tearing force, friction resistance, and puncture resistance. Buffering performance, etc., can protect military products from damage and facilitate long storage.
The research and development of military packaging should also be conducted in light of its compatibility with military products, environmental temperature (-45-55°C) adaptability, long-term storage (more than 20 years), and aging resistance to ensure that military products are in various kinds of adverse conditions. The natural environment can still maintain combat effectiveness. The sealing methods for military packaging should be diversified, which is not only convenient for service processing but also can exert its reliable protection function. An ordnance enterprise has closely developed the above requirements, developed and manufactured excellent military packaging materials, produced them in batches and was installed by our military, and achieved remarkable national defense and military benefits.
