A glazing machine that has been used for many years has been repaired and equipped with a new glazing rubber roller to be put into trial operation. As a result, the rubber roller bounces seriously and cannot be used.
What is the cause of the bounce of the rubber roller?
Some people think that the gap between the roller neck of the rubber roller and the support sleeve is too large or the cooperation between the support sleeve and the adjustable track surface is poor, and some people think that the rubber roller itself has quality defects that affect the normal operation of the rubber roller . To this end, we have tested and analyzed the matching surfaces and matching dimensions of the support sleeve one by one, and the results are normal. We also placed the rubber roller on the lathe and measured the circular runout of the rubber roller and the diameter of multiple parts with a dial indicator. The measurement results showed that the circular runout and diameter tolerance of the rubber roller were within the range of first-class products. From this point of view, it seems that there is no problem with the size of the parts and assembly of the glazing machine and this rubber roller.
So what is the reason for the bounce of the rubber roller?
We put an old rubber roller that has been worn out and scrapped on the glazing machine for trial operation. As a result, this old rubber roller runs smoothly and does not produce large jumps. Quality defects in the rubber roller itself. On this basis, we conducted an in-depth understanding and analysis, and finally determined that the main reason for this new rubber roller bounce in operation is the rubber roller quality eccentricity. If the quality eccentricity of the rubber roller is not eliminated in the production of rollers, the unbalanced force generated during operation will inevitably stimulate the bounce of the rubber roller. Adopt formal production technology and quality control, in the process of making the rubber roller, through the measures of static balance or dynamic balance to ensure that the rubber roller does not have quality eccentric defects, so that it will not be caused by imbalance in use beat.
There are so many many brushes:washes/glazes, rounds, flats, filberts and liners and more. Choosing the right type for the technique is important. Let`s look at the different types. Flat Brushes-Flats are brushes with a straight chisel edge and square shaped filaments. These can be known as shades if they`re in smaller sizes and washes/glazes if in bigger sizes. Large areas are painted with a wash/glaze brush whereas smaller flats are used for small areas of painting
Round brushes-Round brushes have a large diameter of the ferrule, more so than a liner, which can be used for applying thick to thin lines, filling in odd shaped areas, painting details and work great for lettering. Liners don`t hold as much paint as a round, however, they are super great for creating lines or curves. Script liners are similar to liners but the filaments are much longer and hold more paint. A round brush tapers to a pointed tip – several types of rounds are referred to rounds, liners or script liners. Angle brushes are filaments that have been cut on an angle – these are excellent to use in small or curved areas of the painting.Filberts Brushes with oval shaped filaments are known as filberts in smaller sizes and oval wash in larger sizes. Both shapes can be used for base coating, stroke work and more. There are filbert combs, filbert wash and more.Mop Brushes-Then there are mop brushes–great for blending and smoothing out small areas. They`re also ideal for applying powdered pigments–just dust them lightly over hot or tacky wax.Specialty Brushes-Then there are all the speciality brushes on the market used for certain techniques and garner their own results–fan, deer-foot, stumbler, mops, stencil and more.
