I am very grateful to the Steel Bar Committee for giving us a chance to share learning with everyone.
As we all know, the substantial reform of China's steel barrel resistance welding technology in 2000, it will be used for nearly half a century of wide-edge narrow welding wheel technology changed to narrow-edge wide welding wheel technology.
First, the advantages and disadvantages of traditional spot welding + seam welding technology
Advantages: improve welding quality; save raw materials; improve welding quality.
Disadvantages: When the spot welding is performed, the precision of the lap joint control is not enough, thus affecting the welding quality; there is a shunt at the spot weld. Spot welds are prone to defects such as leaks and pinholes.
In response to this situation, our technicians, after years of hard work, introduced a semi-automatic seam welder for steel drums at the end of 2008 (no spot welding required). According to the usage needs and feedback of hundreds of customers across the country, we have continuously improved and the welding technology is becoming more mature.
Second, the advantages and disadvantages of steel drum no spot welding semi-automatic weld seam welder
Advantages: less amount of edge, smooth weld (saving cost, improve welding quality); cracking of the head and small amount of tail overlap, these two problems can be completely solved; reduce labor intensity.
Disadvantages: welding specifications (limited); slower speed, 3.5-4 barrels per minute (210 liters); swapping specifications is more troublesome.
Third, the comparison of welding power supply for resistance welding
With the rapid development of electronic technology, the power supply of the resistance welding equipment has been transformed from the original power frequency power supply to the intermediate frequency inverter and the AC variable frequency power supply.
1, power frequency power supply
Advantages: The wiring is relatively simple and easy to repair. cheap price.
Disadvantages: single-phase power, grid imbalance, welding quality is greatly affected by voltage fluctuations, low power factor.
2, medium frequency inverter power supply
Advantages: three-phase input, power balance, high power factor. The current flowing in the secondary welding circuit is direct current, and therefore, the influence of the inductive reactance of the weldment in the circuit on the welding quality is greatly reduced.
Disadvantages: The wiring is complicated, the current is too concentrated, and the pulse welding is required for seam welding. Not suitable for continuous seam welding.
3. AC variable frequency power supply:
Advantages: three-phase input, power balance, high power factor; shorten welding time, saving 60%. The welding nugget is stable, the electrode life is prolonged; the output frequency is adjustable to reduce the welding spatter; the control frequency is up to 5000HZ, which achieves a fast response to the current and improves the welding quality.
Disadvantages: The wiring is more complicated and the cost is high.
Fourth, the design concept of automatic steel barrel welding machine
1. It integrates the advanced welding technology and technology of the world's barrel industry. The welding power source adopts AC frequency conversion control technology and 250KVA welding transformer. The welding speed is up to 8 or more per minute (210 liters).
2. The welding wheel is installed in the form of a gland, which avoids the poor cooling effect and installation difficulty caused by the installation of the hot sleeve.
3. The upper and lower welding wheels are all in the form of turning tools, and they are used up after the new wheel is installed. Save on maintenance costs.
4. The conductive shaft is made of rare earth alloy, and the service life is 2-3 times.
5. The conductive bushing adopts silver plating technology to improve the conductive efficiency and prolong the service life.
6, using stepper motor shift, each time the two barrels are shifted once, each time 1mm, shifting up to ten times or more, greatly improving the utilization of the welding wheel.
7. The weld has a rolling device, and the “duck tongue†at both ends of the barrel is automatically cut to improve the sealing quality.
8, with automatic feeding (optional) mechanism, saving labor. Easy to match the modern automatic production line of steel drums.
