DAK Fibers USA has announced the development of a new type of antimicrobial polyester staple fiber SteriPur, which can be used in apparel, socks, household goods and non-wovens industries.
The antibacterial agent AlphaSan used by SteriPur fiber was supplied by the American company Lincoln. AlphaSan antimicrobial is a zirconium phosphate-based ceramic ion exchange resin containing silver.
