The Allen Coding System adopted this week's PPMA show to promote the laser and ink jet printer market, through an agreement with the partnership between Marksal and Hitachi.
The coding equipment supplier in Hertfordshire will exclusively provide an entry-level small character encoder laser coder based on the icon of Barcelona Marcel.
Marksshaw's icon laser code can print up to 8 lines of code at speeds of up to 500 per minute from the carton board substrate, through glass and metal.
The icon's design competes with inkjet printing at a price of 94,000 pounds for a separate unit, which is reduced by the volume of sales.
Allen Code now also sells Hitachi continuous inkjet printers that can print or unbalance flexible substrates including food, glass, plastic, metal and rubber.
The Hitachi range begins with entry-level machines under £5,000 and £9,000 mid-range machines between £5,000.
Both machines are on the Allen code's position and are shown on the PPMA monitor this week.
