Recently, the European glass manufacturer PLM Company launched the first coating machine for glass packaging, which can process 15-90 bottles per minute.
According to reports, the coating machine coating process is the order of the input bottle → acceptance → immersion in the base coating solution → drying base coating → cooling → immersed in the final coating solution → dry coating → moving the bottle → coating hardening → cooling. This process provides two methods for glass bottle coating: one for single coating systems for decoration; and second, dual coating systems for lightweight recyclable and disposable bottles. Single coat bases are formulated in polyurethane to provide transparent, color transparent, matte and color matte finishes. The first layer of the double coating, called the base layer, consists of a low modulus synthetic rubber that allows the bottle to avoid crushing or scattering into small pieces, and to perform good UV removal. The second layer consists of a high modulus polyurethane. Can make the bottle corrosion resistance, impact resistance and chemical resistance, thereby increasing the strength of glass bottles, so that the thickness of the bottle wall thinning, the quality of 50% reduction, the corresponding reduction in production costs and transportation costs.
