“Children in our country account for about 30% of the total population. The one-child policy makes our children’s status in the family and society special. According to the city’s survey, j憧 accounts for about 40% of the total expenditure on household consumption. Obviously, the demand for children's products is very large, and children's products are increasingly receiving the attention of the whole society. However, although there are countless children's products in the current market, there are not many products suitable for children, such as some children's vehicles. The design does not meet the characteristics of children, and it is easy to cause symptoms such as bulging of the inside of the knee, crus of the lower leg, X-type leg, band-like leg, etc. There are many hidden dangers to safety. There are many children's products, often called the name of “smallâ€. As long as the size of adult products is reduced, it is children's products, but the appearance and function are not closely linked with children, but the small size is not necessarily a good children's product. The use of children's products is totally different from that of adults. , The functional design features of some children's products are not clear, although they are designed as cartoons in appearance, but they are functional and ordinary. There is no obvious difference between the products and the development of functions for children, so it is necessary to use the characteristics of humanized design to design children's products.
1 Humanized design thought content
The product is essentially a tool to satisfy all aspects of human life that need services. That is, products are for people, and product design must be people-centered. Humanized design reflects the essential characteristics of human design. The main body of design is people. The users and designers of design are also people. People are the center and scale of design. It includes both physical and psychological dimensions, while the satisfaction of psychological dimensions is achieved through humanistic design. Humanized design not only helps improve the economic value and social value of the product, but also more importantly helps to improve and perfect human nature and personality, promotes the socialization of people and social modernization, and improves the quality of life of people.
2 The principle of humanized design of children's products
Humanized design is to serve people. Therefore, different people should have different care. Children's products should be designed with children as the design object and design criteria. It is necessary to meet the children's physiological needs, but also to meet the children's psychological needs. At the same time, create products that can adapt to children's physical and emotional care, and allow children to be more meticulously cared for in every detail of the product, thus transforming the physiological care of children into psychologically moved. Due to its special physiological and psychological characteristics, children can carry out the following aspects when designing children's products.
2.1 Security Design Principles
In the design of children's products, safety design means that children are not subjected to any harm from the product during the normal use of the product. Even if the wrong operation is performed in an unconscious manner, the damage can be minimized. This will ensure the safety of children. The reason why the safety principle is put in the first place is because children's physiological characteristics determine that they are more vulnerable to accidental injury from outside than people of ordinary age. Their physical and mental development is not yet mature, and their understanding of things is not complete. There is a lack of awareness of self-protection. Any potential problems they may have when using products can have serious consequences. Therefore, the principle of safety is the primary and the most basic condition for the humanization of children's products. On the one hand, children's products should not cause any physical or psychological harm to children in terms of form, color, and material use. For example, the spare parts of some products, besides paying attention to whether the corner part is sharp and easy to accidentally injure a child, should also determine that the size of the product should not be too small, so as to reduce the chance of accidentally eating or mistakenly inserting the mouth. All the sharp corners of children's cutlery (see Fig. 1) produced by the Hyo-Fong Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in 1996 have been sleekly handled, making it safe for children to use L2J; in color, the symbolic significance of color is applied to ensure the safe use of the product. If there is a red alert, etc.; in the use of materials, non-toxic materials should be used. On the other hand, some constraints are used to prevent children from making mistakes. For example, using the physical structure constraint method can effectively control the possible operation methods, at least highlight the correct operation method, so as to achieve the effect of safe use.
2.2 Principles of Group Design
An important aspect of humanized products is that they cannot be ignored on their own. Ultimate concern. Today, as the awareness of environmental protection becomes stronger and stronger, designers should also increase their awareness of environmental protection. Get the greatest use value, J_, at the lowest possible resource cost. We know that children's products have a high rate of elimination as children grow up and usually have a low utilization rate. If these children's products can be designed as combinable, sizable, multi-functional products, they can reduce many resources. The waste. . The concept of growing up with children has become a design trend for children's products. Through combination design and system design, a series of standard assemblies are combined in different ways to obtain completely different product functions to suit children in different growth periods. The different requirements of the product function to achieve the product. To grow, one piece is equal to many pieces. For the children themselves, they are satisfied with the psychology of being happy and new. For the family, they are economical and save space. For the society, it extends the service life of products, reduces the waste of resources, and reduces Impact on the environment, in line with environmental requirements. For example, a modular toy car is used to integrate three stages of toy cars (see Figure 2) into one. After simple assembly and changes, the components can be built into different toy cars to meet children of different ages and meet them. The requirements for different functions.
2.3 Fun Design Principles
Humanized design must meet people's emotional needs. Because people are emotional, people want to communicate well with the product when using the product. For children, children are born with a lot of emotions. They like to get close to some pleasant and friendly, or full of vitality and fun products. Therefore, some colorful, exaggerated, cartoonish, or children's products that mimic animals' shapes are often easy to attract children's attention and enable them to obtain spiritual pleasure and satisfy their psychological needs. Such as the Haier company launched. The Frog Prince TV adopts frog modeling and fully considers the needs of children in appearance and function. A child mouse device designed by a world famous frog company (see Figure 3) looks like a real mouse. It is humorous and funny, and it gives children a sense of intimacy.
2.4 Usability Design Principles
Children's thinking is relatively simple. The development of logical thinking, attention and memory has not yet fully matured, and children's patience is often inadequate. If the design of a product's interface is too complicated, children are daunted, or the operation is cumbersome. They tend to divert attention and even frustrate them and are no longer willing to get close to the product. To improve the ease of use of children's products, it is necessary to visualize product symbols ingeniously while striving to simplify the operation interface of the products. The simple, simple things make people understand at a glance, understand at a glance, learn a lesson, and work that can be done with a single key, and do not need to be designed into two or more keys. Such products are often also very convenient to use. The visualized product symbols are more intuitive and facilitate the operation. At the same time, they can also cause children's associations and improve children's imagination and creativity. Easy-to-use children's products demonstrate good human interaction and communication between the product's human-machine interface, making the product not only easy to learn and use, but also able to satisfy their physiological and emotional needs.
2.5 The principle of puzzle design
Although children's product users are children, the buyers are parents. Therefore, humanized children's products must not only satisfy children's psychology, but also satisfy the parents' psychology. Today’s parents are paying more and more attention to children’s early education and intellectual investment. If a product can gain the children’s approval, allowing them to be happy during their use, and at the same time develop their intelligence and creativity, they can be praised by parents. Undoubtedly a good humane children's product. For example, children's washing machines introduced on the market today are all plastic red peppers, small in size, easy to operate, and high in safety factor. They are more suitable for children to help their mothers to wash clothes. On the one hand, they can help children develop love labor from an early age. His good habits foster his independent living ability and, on the other hand, add a lot of fun to his family. Therefore, we believe that successful children's products must be well-conceived, precise, fun, and educational.
3 Conclusion
In short, the ultimate goal of the humanized design of children's products is to achieve meticulous human care for this particular group of children. Children are the future of mankind, so the design for them will become even more important. Of course, to achieve this goal, we still need to consider other factors, such as the market, etc., but we also believe that. With the further understanding and care for human nature, as well as the further development of technology and the transformation of consumer attitudes, in the near future, the commodities on the market should be more and more humane, with human freedom, equality, dignity, and kindness. Good values such as love and caring can also be brought into full play and manifested, so that children's products are increasingly shining with humanity.
