Agfa Launches Vivaldi2 Photo Processing Film

The new film reflects customer needs, with finer line capture capabilities and greater stability.

Agfa launched the latest and most advanced photo-processing film for the production of PC circuit boards (PCBs). Vivaldi2 helps PCB manufacturers and service providers create photo tools with higher image quality, precise line width control, greater space stability, greater scratch resistance and optimal space handling.

Vivaldi2 combines a more advanced latent image enhancement component that can produce particularly good results. This ingredient is included in the emulsion coating of photo processing film. Upon contact with the catalyst in the developing chemistry, the latent image component in Vivaldi2 retains the silver halide crystals and develops the latent image. The result is clear and sharp lines, and the width of the lines is accurate.

Vivaldi2 is composed of 175 thicknesses of thermo-imaging PET base material. It has the strongest space stability and ensures accurate registration. The polymer layer guarantees that the film has permanent antistatic properties and even eliminates the slightest dust attraction. In addition, an antihalation layer absorbs discrete light during exposure to prevent the formation of blurred images.

Vivaldi2 VGB 7-2 green/blue sensitive film will be available in the first quarter of 2003, and VR 7-2 red sensitive film will be available in the second quarter of 2003.
