Scientists use two-photon polymerization to invent tissue scaffolds and establish new technologies
Recently, scientists from Germany and the United States have modified the two-photon polymerization technology (2PP) to enable researchers to build their delicate microstructures, such as tissue scaffolds, faster and more efficiently. Related research was published in "Biomedical Optics News" recently.
2PP technology can be used to make a lot of small tools that regulate cells and other microstructures. With the traditional 2PP technology, it takes 2 hours and 47 minutes to manufacture a single-square tissue with a resolution of 100 nanometers, and it takes only 10 minutes with the improved 2PP technology.
