One transfer roller

The structure of the paper transfer cylinder and the impression cylinder is basically similar. The transfer cylinder does not have the task of imprinting, so some indicators can be lowered. In multi-color offset presses, the straightness of the impression cylinder and the intermediate transfer cylinder is often larger than the diameter of the plate cylinder and blanket cylinder (making the structure compact and reducing the machine footprint). For example, the diameter of the impression cylinder and paper transfer cylinder in Komori Japan's four-color offset press is often twice the diameter of the standard cylinder. The paper transfer roller of CP2000-CD102 machine has three times diameter. Although the drum diameters are different, the linear velocity of each drum is equal.

The three-diameter large-diameter drum (Figure 6-7 / â‘¡) is equipped with three rows of paper feed rows. The transfer cylinder is from the double-diameter impression cylinder (Figure 6-7 / â‘ ). The double-diameter impression cylinder that takes the printed sheet and delivers it to the next unit (Figure 6-7 / â‘¢) For paper of different thicknesses, the adjustment of the three rows of grippers is adjusted together by a set of adjustment mechanisms.

Adjusting the height of the tooth pad of the second transfer roller

(1) Change from thin paper to thick paper

When changing from thin paper to thick paper, the height of the tooth pad of the paper transfer cylinder must match the thickness of the printed paper, that is, the thickness of the paper to be printed should not exceed the set amount of 0.2 mm.

Tip: The factory setting is 0.1mm.

(2) Change from thick paper to thin paper

In order to ensure good paper transfer, when printing thin paper, the height of the dental pad must be adjusted to match the position of the thin paper. How to adjust the transfer roller to match the current paper:

aMeasure the thickness of the paper.
b Lock the safety button of the unit.

Open the foot pedal between the first unit and the second unit.

Jog the machine forward to turn the row adjustment mechanism to the top (Figure 6-8 / â‘£). Loosen the locking screw (Figure 6-8 / â‘ ). By turning the screw (Figure 6-8 / â‘¡). The height of the dental pad can be adjusted. The scale (unit 1 / 10mm) indicates the thickness of the paper, and the scale value indicated by the pointer (Figure 6-8 / â‘¢) indicates the set paper scale.

Tip: When changing from thick paper to thin paper, turn the screw (Figure 6-8 / â‘¡) counterclockwise to the limit, and then turn clockwise to the paper thickness to be set. Tighten the locking screw (Figure 6-8 / â‘ ). Then adjust the paper transfer rollers of several units in sequence.
