A few days ago, the second meeting of the National Higher Education Printing Engineering Teaching Guidance Branch was held at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Arts. The leaders of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, the General Administration of Press and Publication, and other relevant leaders, and representatives from 12 colleges and universities with printing and related majors attended the meeting. Pu Jialing, vice president of the Beijing Institute of Printing, presided over the meeting.
During the meeting, the delegates listened to Professor Xie Punan, the director of the branch, reporting on the preliminary work of the guiding branch. In particular, a systematic review of the preparation and publication of textbooks for the unified compilation was made. The institutions exchanged views, experiences and ideas on the disciplines and professional construction of printing engineering, and discussed issues related to the orientation, nature, discipline system, training objectives, and curriculum setting of the printing engineering profession.
Participants agreed that the connotation of printing has expanded from the traditional printing technology to the entire visual reproduction and dissemination field. The scale of printing engineering professionals is no longer limited to applied talents, but should further broaden the professional foundation and improve the level and quality of training; Printing engineering has developed into a relatively independent edge discipline based on visual reproduction and dissemination. The conference also approved the national "Tenth Five-Year" national planning teaching materials (printing engineering major) applied by the colleges and universities to the Ministry of Education. When assessing national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" textbooks, the conference paid special attention to systematicness, applicability, and advanced nature. Depth and breadth. And on the basis of full discussion, voting will be adopted to decide on recommended textbooks. According to the results of the voting, the meeting selected 14 books from the 19 textbooks declared this time.
