Explosion: It refers to the phenomenon that the change of material continues to increase rapidly and emits a large amount of energy in a very short time.
Explosion limit: refers to a range of combustible gases or mixtures of steam and air that can explode. The air contains a certain concentration of flammable gas or vapour. When it encounters a spark, it will spread and explode. The lowest concentration is called the lower explosion limit, and the highest concentration is called the upper explosion limit. If the concentration of flammable gas or vapor exceeds or falls below this range, no explosion will occur.
In the production, use, storage and transportation of combustibles, attention must be paid to the explosion limit to ensure the safety of production, use, storage and transportation.
